This is Tortilla. She's the mascot for the Down Dog app. Over the years, we've turned Down Dog into a monument to Tortilla through various icons:

While these static images add personality to our app, we'd like to bring Tortilla to life within the app using animations. That's where you come in!

We're looking for someone curious, with great attention to detail, who cares about making beautiful things and resonates with our mission of providing the best at-home yoga experience.

We want 2D animations (not 3D) in the Lottie format that match the style of the stills we already have in the app. Here are some animation ideas we'd love to explore:

  • Tortilla walking in a circle, then lying down for a nap (with snoring)
  • Tortilla sneezing and shaking afterwards
  • Tortilla doing a vinyasa
  • Tortilla wagging her tail, then doing a backflip
  • Tortilla chasing a stick thrown from off screen

You'll be a great fit if you have:

  • A portfolio of 2D character animation
  • Experience delivering Lottie animations that play smoothly in mobile apps
  • The ability to animate from our existing vector artwork and stay true to its style

When you apply, please include a link to your portfolio.
